Account Manager (Inside Sales)

Position Summary
The Business Development Representative (BDR) supports Alianza’s growth objectives by engaging directly with smaller service providers (Tier 2+ and Tier 3) and driving early-stage sales activity across the region. This role focuses on pipeline generation, lead qualification, and tactical sales execution, enabling Regional Sales Directors to prioritize larger, more strategic accounts.
The BDR uncovers opportunities, responds to customer inquiries, and builds relationships with smaller providers, while escalating larger pursuits to sales leadership. Success requires persistence, responsiveness, and collaboration with internal teams. The role also supports Sell Through by equipping smaller service providers with the information, tools, and positioning they need to take Alianza’s platform to market.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Development
- Generate and qualify leads with a focus on Tier 2+ and Tier 3 service providers.
- Support pipeline growth by identifying opportunities within smaller accounts and regional targets.
- Schedule introductory meetings and demos for Regional Sales Directors.
Customer Engagement
- Act as the primary contact for smaller service providers, handling day-to-day questions and requests.
- Provide timely responses to RFIs and initial sales inquiries.
- Nurture relationships with Tier 2+ and Tier 3 providers while escalating strategic opportunities to Regional Sales Directors.
Sales Support & Sell Through Enablement
- Partner with Regional Sales Directors to execute sales plays, campaigns, and follow-up activity.
- Provide smaller service providers with product information, collateral, and positioning to enable Sell Through.
- Manage less complex or transactional sales motions while enabling senior leaders to focus on larger pursuits.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of quotes for license audits and other standardized offers.
Funnel Management
- Maintain accurate lead, contact, and activity records in Salesforce
- Provide reporting on outreach activity, pipeline contribution, and conversion rates.
- Ensure all customer touchpoints are documented to support visibility across the sales organization.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of sales, customer service, or business development experience (technology or telecom preferred but not required).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with smaller accounts.
- Comfortable handling high activity levels including outreach, follow-ups, and scheduling.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) or willingness to learn quickly.
- Highly organized with attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and eager to grow into a career in sales.
