The role:
Galileo is seeking a full-time Corporate Counsel to join its growing legal team. This role will play a key part in supporting the company's commercial contracting function, with a primary focus on reviewing and drafting NDAs, vendor agreements, and contract amendments, as well as managing due diligence requests and assisting with broader legal operations. The Corporate Counsel will also assume a project management role relating to strategic initiatives, support contract lifecycle management, help drive process improvements, and coordinate with cross-functional teams such as privacy, information security, and finance. We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is eager to grow, and takes pride in delivering high-quality, timely work.
What you’ll do:
-Provide a variety of general corporate and commercial legal services to a number of in-house clients
-Review legal data and advise organization on appropriate legal action to be taken
-Demonstrate experience in general corporate matters, drafting transactional documents, and contract management
-Draft and review a variety of NDAs, customer amendments, and vendor agreements.
-Coordinate with other departments, such as privacy, information security, and finance to obtain due diligence documents; ensure delivery of important documents and notices.
-Assist in developing and improving contract templates to streamline contract review process.
-Create and update process documents and SOPs.
-Research and project management to support legal team with strategic projects and process improvements.
-Work closely with Galileo’s other attorneys on ad hoc legal initiatives.
-Handle confidential/sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism at all times.
What you’ll need:
-1–3 years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department, with a focus on contracts or corporate law—preferably within an in-house legal department.
-J.D. degree from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar.
