Application Support Specialist

The Accounting Support Specialist is focused on resolving technical and application issues for customers while ensuring an excellent user experience. This role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting software and system problems, collaborating with internal teams, and applying sound judgment to deliver accurate and timely solutions.
What you will be doing:
- Communicate with customers via the Support Portal, phone, or email to diagnose application or system issues, troubleshoot, repair, and test solutions.
- Document all actions taken and escalate issues promptly when necessary, acting as a liaison between end users and internal technical resources.
- Respond to complex situations where standard procedures do not resolve system or software failures by applying customer-focused problem-solving and product knowledge.
- Stay current with software updates and product changes to provide timely and accurate resolutions.
- Review and manage outstanding issues, ensuring customers are kept informed of progress and next steps.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Customer Experience and Sales to address client concerns and improve service outcomes.
- Assist in mentoring and supporting other team members.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance technical and product expertise.
- Contribute to and utilize the department’s knowledge base articles and FAQs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What you will likely bring:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Financial and Accounting business processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable
- Attention to detail with strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume support environment
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
What could set you apart:
- Experience with ERP systems or financial software applications
- Understanding of financial reporting and statements, including Balance Sheet and Income Statement reconciliation analysis
