Duties & Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain relational databases with a primary focus on PostgreSQL and secondary support for Microsoft SQL Server.
Design and maintain data models that support application and business requirements.
Participate in database deployments, version control, and change management processes.
Document database designs, standards, and operational procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Basic to intermediate knowledge of PostgreSQL database concepts.
Fundamental understanding of SQL (queries, joins, subqueries, indexing basics) and familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server concepts and tools.
Understanding of relational database design and normalization principles.
Ability to understand application data requirements and translate them into database objects.
Ability to work collaboratively with developers and senior database professionals.
Qualifications
3+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
