Are you ready to elevate your career as a Product Manager? As a Product Manager, you will serve as a key product liaison for a strategic partner in the home center, hardware, and building materials industry, helping translate business needs into clear product requirements and successful product outcomes. You will be responsible for gathering requirements, supporting release planning, partnering with development teams, and helping resolve product and system challenges across a large-scale retail environment. We are seeking applicants with strong analytical thinking, relationship-building skills, and the ability to connect business needs with practical technology solutions.

What you will be doing:

  • Gather and translate partner, customer, and internal stakeholder requirements into clear product specifications for development teams.
  • Manage product-related projects through release cycles, including planning, requirements definition, development handoff, pilot support, and follow-through.
  • Serve as a day-to-day product liaison for a strategic retail partner, building strong relationships and supporting ongoing alignment.
  • Analyze product, system, and data-related issues involving point-of-sale, inventory, order management, and related retail workflows.
  • Partner with development, product, professional services, support, marketing, and organizational readiness teams to resolve issues and support successful product adoption.
  • Champion customer and partner needs internally, ensuring the right resources are engaged to solve problems and move initiatives forward.
  • Support new application development efforts by helping create content, clarify requirements, and prepare internal teams for product changes.

What you will likely bring:

  • Experience in product management, business analysis, requirements analysis, project planning, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to understand business problems, identify patterns, and translate needs into actionable requirements.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams, including development, services, support, and customer-facing stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to build credibility with partners and internal teams.
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity, managing competing priorities, and championing issues through resolution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and the ability to learn internal product and development tools.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to a strategic partner campus on a regular cadence

What could set you apart:

  • Home Center Industry Experience, including hardware, home improvement, building materials, hard goods retail, or adjacent retail environments.
  • Experience with ERP, retail technology, point-of-sale, inventory, supply chain, or order management systems.
  • Experience supporting product needs for national accounts, franchise networks, retail partners, or multi-location customer environments.
  • Familiarity with partner-facing product management, customer escalations, release readiness, or pilot implementations.
  • Experience working with home center, hardware, building materials, or similar retail communities.
  • Located in the greater Illinois area or ability to travel there 2-3 times a month

Range:

Minimum: $94,000 USD Maximum: $151,000 USD

The salary range provided reflects the national average for this job title and does not represent compensation specific to Epicor Software Corporation. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, qualifications, and market factors relevant to the position.
