Engineering Manager
Sales Rabbit
The Mission
As an Engineering Manager at SalesRabbit, you will lead two of our product teams - Canvassing and Identity. You will be the catalyst for our next phase of growth, leading your teams to develop features through AI-augmented rapid production-ready prototyping in concert with Product, Design, and other internal stakeholders, along with ensuring our products remain stable and scalable.
You will serve as the bridge between technical excellence and product vision, partnering with Product and Design to deliver high-impact features to our field sales and roofing professionals.
You will maintain a 'Lean and Speedy' engineering culture. By serving as the dedicated lead for people and process, you empower the Identity and Canvassing teams to focus on technical innovation and feature delivery.
Who We Are
SalesRabbit is the operating system for field sales and roofing contractors. We replace the chaos of manual tracking with an end-to-end production-to-payment system that handles everything from the first website click to the final invoice. Our software combines online lead creation, field territory management, instant estimates, and a roofing-specific CRM.
With our headquarters in Lehi, Utah, a RoofLink office in Round Rock, Texas, and a growing team of over 100, we are building an AI-native product organization. We use automation to turn messy field data into clear operational leverage. We give business owners the visibility they need to scale, and reps the tools they need to close deals faster.

- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders in Customer Success, Solutions, and Integrations to understand customer needs.
- Roadmap Negotiation: Partner with Product to define the 'What' and 'When,' while you own the 'How.' You are responsible for negotiating scope to ensure a sustainable pace for the engineering team.
- Alignment: Ensure the teams directly impact engineering KPIs (e.g., cycle time, SLOs).
- Organizational Reach: Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to make cross-cutting architectural decisions and work with Quality and Infrastructure to establish and maintain best practices.
2. People & Culture
- Empowerment: Keep your engineers unblocked and ensure they have the support and resources needed to do their best work.
- Culture & Accountability: Build a culture of mutual support, honest communication, and accountability. Communicate expectations clearly, provide feedback promptly, and express gratitude generously.
- Psychological Safety: Establish and track metrics for psychological safety, ensuring your teams are healthy, happy, and high-performing.
3. Delivery & Technical Strategy
- Consistent Shipping: Lead your teams with AI-augmented rapid prototyping to frequently ship impactful features to our customers. Proactively flag risks to delivery, identify mitigations, and negotiate scope with Product to stay on track.
- Agile Advocacy: Leverage metrics and rituals to build team health and efficiency.
- Technical Roadmapping: Craft a technical roadmap with initiatives that strengthen our solutions, specifically focusing on AI automation and architectural shifts that enable faster delivery.
- Operational Health: Define and maintain SLOs and SLIs, and set up dashboards and alerting to ensure platform stability.
4. Technical Expertise & Innovation
- Early Discovery: Serve as the technical expert to your Product partner early in the product development lifecycle to ensure feasibility and innovation.
- Design Review: Regularly review and contribute to technical designs within your teams and larger architectural designs led outside your team.
- Engineering Excellence: Champion best practices in code quality, testing, CI/CD, and performance optimization.
- Continuous Improvement: Constantly look for opportunities to improve how we work through new tooling, process changes, or architectural shifts.
What You Bring (Required Skills & Experience)
